“Driving business success” interview series: Watch Episode 5 with Senior manager at KPMG!

We’re back again with the series of interviews “Driving business success with software testing strategies,” Episode 5 with Randyl Tabajonda, Senior Manager – Second Line of Defence — IT, Audit Centre of Excellence at KPMG.

Randyl answers two questions:

1. What role does QA play as a means for successful digital transformation?

Randyl explains that previously, QA focused on a high level of quality in terms of production during the development of the product or service. Today, QA plays a pivotal role throughout digital transformation and provides value to customers.

2. How do you embed QA through a digital transformation project?

According to Randyl, gone are the days when QA was just a support function. Now, it’s important to embed QA with the leader mindset as leaders know exactly where they can place their energy in terms of prioritizing multiple activities. And to succeed, one should follow a what they call “Leadership left QA strategy” when QA is involved as early as a planning phase. Thus, it’ll help ensure that you leverage better tactics to stay ahead of the competition. Randyl states that there are a lot of things that QA can get involved in, but they all should be placed as early as planning.
